Patient Advocate/Supporter after her husband was diagnosed with Stage IV colon cancer in August 2009. Three days after returning from a wonderful family vacation, her husband had a colonoscopy. After he received a cancer diagnosis, she dedicated herself to educating her family on colon cancer. Janelle and her husband quickly realized the importance of selecting the best possible team of medical professionals, and tirelessly researched what this would mean. This same tenacity has served her well during their long journey.
Janelle joined the Board of Colon STARS to educate people on the symptoms of colon cancer, so that her work may prevent another family from going through what her family has experienced.
Janelle has a background in project management and finance within the technology industries. Janelle is a native of Washington, and lives in Monroe with her husband Tony, and the “non-adult” portion of their four children, along with their Golden Retriever, Gracie. She enjoys horseback riding, traveling and the outdoors.
